从家里装了新的网络

就很常到YouTube看别人的钢琴表演

最近发现一名年轻苏联钢琴家

叫作Nikolai Takarev

年纪轻轻技巧就非常厉害

也把Liszt的La Campanella诠释得纯熟

他还有弹Tchaikovsky的Nutcraker组曲

其中有出名的Dance of Sugar-Plum Fairy

这还是我第一次听见钢琴solo的版本

另外

有一首歌让我惊叹不已

YouTube里标题为"Khachaturian arr. Solin Sabre Dance"

翻译出来就是“剑之舞”吧

是Lew Solin把Aram Khachaturian的原创改编为钢琴独奏

他的手指在琴键上挥洒自如

让我看得眼睁睁

最令我兴奋的是

我竟然在网络上找到这两首歌的谱

对照Nikolai弹"剑之舞”的video

谱子的版本是准确的！

真希望现在不是在Sem8

这样我就可以在家练琴

继续追逐我的梦

解放了

经过了近五个月的折磨

今天终于可以从研究和论文中解放了

想起这段日子的甜酸苦辣

其实也没到这种地步

我的意思是研究一直遇到瓶颈

然后一直想办法解决

此外

还要接触很多不同的实验室里的人

有些是阶级较高的

有些外表冷酷但和蔼可亲

有些一幅很有威严的样子

其实却在某些事上训练你

等等等等

回想起来

这段日子的确让我长大了

还好没打破什么贵东西

也没弄坏价值上万的化验仪器

反而让我学到两样东西

它们叫作  迁就 和 牺牲

爵士音乐的神秘面纱

最近自己被爵士乐的感性吸引住

可能因为经过了多年古典音乐训练和熏陶吧

经过自己的一番摸索

才发现

若非不让自己头脑经过一些大改革

这个“古典派头脑”是不能弹爵士乐的

爵士乐又称蓝调

是一种源自于非洲的音乐形式

也是从前居住在美国南部的非洲奴隶

以及他们的后代的民间音乐

也是当初“非洲音乐撞击欧洲音乐”所产生的

说起爵士

大家脑子一定想到萨克管吧

曾经在一次钢琴比赛时

有幸让我观赏到一位世界级（希望没夸张）的爵士钢琴家演奏

才开始觉得

弹爵士乐所要求的技巧

绝不低于弹古典乐的要求

甚至我觉得从古典乐所学得的技巧

就是要来用在爵士乐上的

爵士乐完全违反了古典音乐的乐理

讲求 improvisation, syncopation （切分音）

和很多没有学过的和弦

例如 C+, C69, C7b9, C7#9, C9, Cm7, C7alt 等等 

音符也有很多 natural, sharp, flat

看得眼都花了

可是心中还是向往

所以只好自己花一点功夫学

最近找到一个电脑程式

里面有好多钢琴爵士乐

可是谱子不能印出来

只好把逐个音符抄进五线谱然后拿去练习

哈哈

Lasagna

今天尝试自己作 lasagna

前两天晚上就试从网上寻找食谱

找到一个有很多照片的

为了看清 lasagna应该长怎么样

今天上午终于开火

先是准备馅

做法是把洋葱、很多番茄和牛肉炒熟

然后煮软 lasagna片

最后把 lasagna片摆在涂了一层油的碗里

洒上煮好的馅

在上面放 cheddar cheese

再盖上一层 lasagna

然后就这样重复这样的摆法

最后，把它放到oven 里

用200C 烤四十分钟

结果我有作成功吗？

哈哈

那要问当天尝过的人了

除了最上面那层外

我想其他部分还是可以吃下去的

What a Day 的一天

之前在准备钢琴比赛时，我因为不想向爸爸讨报名费，所以省吃俭用为了参加比赛。Alen就答应说如果我能拿第一名的话，他就要请我吃Carl's JR，然后Wayne就要请我吃Haagen Dazs雪糕。

结果昨天我如愿以偿，哈哈。

我们先到Pavilion吃汉堡。我叫了一份medium size的套餐，然后三个人拼命喝了三杯水，临走前还装满一杯带走，反正可以免费添。

然后我们步行回到Sg Wang，路途中有间Haagen Dazs雪糕店，是一间坐落在繁忙街道旁，以五面镜子盖成的长方体。我点了一scope芒果味，topping选芒果汁和hazel nut。

What a day！这是当我们research百出状况后的感叹，用在昨天也很适合。哈哈。谢谢你们，Alen & Wayne．

Research Dramatically

I just want to use the word "dramatic" to describe my everyday research. I am doing research to develop crystals from my drug. Few days ago, dramatically, I did not get any crystals after i poured in my polymer solutions. Why? This is the first drama. When I dropped in magnetic stirrer on the boiling ethanol -acetic acid solution, suddenly the solution turned very excited and splashed out! Some of my drugs crystallized immediately on the table. Dr Kang will recommend me to saw off the table to extract them out. (shh...dont tell anybody). This is the second drama.

Today another big episode happened. I was filtering my crystals out of the methanol using Buchner set. After everything finished, I was trying to pull out the tubing. My fingers were grapping the whole L tubing until suddely it broke in my grap! I saw lines on my thumb, and then it stained the water red. Then blood came out from second and third fingers too. This is the climax of the third drama.

I'd downloaded some Chopin Etudes (which are not available in my collection), as well as Franz Liszt's masterpieces, including the Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 and Lieberstraume (Dream). Plan to print them out and  compile into a collection.

I know some friends who learned piano but stopped playing by the time they reach the age of college or university. I think this is sad. If you do no play now, you won't get any chance when you work in the coming years.

Because classical music is just nearly as wonderful as a kinder bueno!
